Few friends, few beers, fire swimming, waterfall and terribly cooked moose burgers! What more does a girl want!?
Just me being awesome!
Just me and Susan cooking some moose burgers on a crappy fire, with a peice of wood shaped like a spatula, we randomly found laying around on the ground.
Just the crew, then the swimming, this place is quite literally an out door swimming pool about 12 foot deep at any givin area after the drop off. Beautiful water fall and an all rock bottom, doesn't get much better then that.
For lack of anything to say about my last weekend I've collected a dozen pictures to show partially what I've been up to! There's sooo much going on for such a small town it's unbelievable.
First up, a gorgeous picture of my towns sunset just to set the mood ya know..
Also, I found a picture of me and my drinking buddies, these are the by's I drink with in the shed almost every weekend. I'll have you know they aren't tame.
Up next is my SO's grandparents 50 anniversary celebration (wine included)
mmmm.. wine.. I drank two of these suckers!
MY FAMILY! <3 literally the only picture of me from this night/day
...and last but certainty not least Albert's memorial fire. The moment everyone has been waiting for we all shed our tears and said goodbye to one of the nicest, funnest, amazing dudes ever. Everyone gathered behind his mothers house we held hands and a priest spoke on behalf of god. We told stories drank beer, lit a fire and lanterns. Close to 200 people must have been in attendance. It's never easy saying goodbye.
never forget you bud!
In other news its been a pretty tragic week, first I had to bring my baby to the hospital due to an infected splinter, then my car broke down just before I could do my road test, and the day after that my step mother, brother and two sisters got in a car accident (they're all fine, Thank the lord) Trust me if anyone needs a drink or two this week.. it's me.
Thanks for reading loyal viewers. This blog and all my blog views really has surpassed my initial expectations and I'm so thankful.
Davy Jones seemed like an appropriate song for such heartbreaking news.
This week in my little town is a very depressing one. It's nice to have everyone from away come home, but not under these circumstances. Sunday, July 20 a great man named Albert Brake went missing last seen swimming in the ocean. As always Albert was the crazy one always up to something and could swim all damn day, this time, he never came back. Leaving behind two young boys and a huge family. I'm still holding out hope he's just off on a week bender camping, he'll come back smiling and call us all "silly fuckers". (LOL) Wishful thinking I suppose but a girl can dream. Come back Albert, give us some peace. Also, My thoughts and preyers go out to the Brake Family and all Albert's friends.
But, That's not all two days later, Tuesday, July 22, another man, well known to the town went missing belived to have went into the water. Shawn Crocker leaving behind a young son and many other family members. Its been a hard week for my small town. Your gonna be missed Shawn :( xo
In honor of Albert Brake family and friends are gathering tonight on the beach beside his mothers house for a communal bonfire. Tears will be shed.
Not surprisingly I've been forgetting to post posts, BLAH! Not actually forgetting it's summer all the "fam jam" is here, I'm busy as fuck!
Also, not surprisingly I've been drunk 90% of the past 2 or 3 weeks... oops.
So, this is now my failed quit drinking blog experience. The road to recovery obviously forgot about summer and all the divine opportunities to get drunk. Loving it tho.
.....and now to the point.
Last week I made a challenge to mark my beer as it were, which was fun actually. Here's my tally!
Day 1: 11 (forgot to get a picture of that one my apologies)
Day 2:
I'm pretty sure it was more then 15 I just got too drunk to write it down. Also, there was shots I didn't mark, cause shots don't count (lol). I never ate much that day resulting in a really wasted white chick, I was even trying to argue with my boyfriend all he could do was laugh. I remember walking home i was saying "I'm mad at you, cause I don't know why, I can't say the thing why, nothings coming out right...." and a bunch more of ughh and slurrs. Raged Blackouts -my reason to quit originally.
Day 3:
I woke up so sick, throwing up, dizzy, gut rot, I have never been sicker, took gravol and tylenol (which I never take pills) when finally I gave up on feeling better I dragged my sick ass out of bed and got another beer. or eight beer as it were. Taken from bed last minute is this winner of a photo above.
To be fair I have been doing pretty shitty lately with the drinking but we've been drinking with my mans family who are only home for a couple weeks on vacation, so I feel.... excused? (lol)
Funny story now tho, this weekend everyone kept looking at my hands to see my drink count LOL
My official song of the summer I've chosen SUMMER by Calvin Harris.
very fitting me tinks.
As we all know summer time can get very hectic for over planning and being super busy. I've been so slack with my blog it's because there is so much OTG. From birthdays last weekend to weddings and birthdays this weekend, then I have a boatload of family on the way home, on to anniversaries, and a plane trip taking me to another wedding. I simply can't keep up.
And! as with all these events there's the booze. I cannot count how many drinks I've had the last week, and I'd be even worst off trying to account for the week before. I've gone completely overboard. Worst part is I didn't even get any pictures to share my journey with everyone.
Actually, something interesting did happen this week, I was informed that a conversation was had about me. Apparently no one can get over how a small 100 pound, four foot eleven chick, can keep up and put down beer for beer with the bys. I'm suppose to be proud of myself.
Next summer I definitely want to under plan my summer. Just spend time with my daughter. Which I have been doing. So far this past couple weeks we've been swimming twice, I've taken up babysitting her friend we've went for long walks on the beach and I've woken up every single morning next to her in bed for a cuddle. I even let her bring her dog Whiskey back to our home for a week (he lives with her grandma).
Its the little things you know, Family.
Speaking of family It was my mans 24th birthday July 6th! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARLING! I LOVE YOU xoxox.
He's a great father, worker, lover ;) , friend and I wouldn't trade him up for anything.
Our 5th anniversary is on the 17th of this month, lets see if he remembers (lol).
Life as such we know can be quite full of activity, whereas my life is usually boring, this week I found plenty to do! Don't you just love summer!
